Trayvon Martin

This case is a prime example of why police or any law enforcement is not respected today. The Trayvon Martin is a big media story that involves a safety neighborhood watch man killing a 17 year old boy because he was wearing a hood and looked suspicious. The safety watchman is a man name George Zimmerman who was later linked to a 911 call he made saying trayvon looked suspicious. The operators gave an exact order "NOT TO FOLLOW HIM". However, he didn't listen and continued to follow trayvon and harassed him. After a couple minutes of questioning, Zimmerman started using excessive force on trayvon which escalated into a fight. As it seems, Trayvon was winning the fight which made Zimmerman pull out a gun and shoot it in cold blood. Trayvon died at the age of 17. He was unarmed and only had a bag of skittles and a Arizona ice tea. this proves that america is saying, if we do not feel safe we are eligible to use violent force. however, when that violent is used in the wrong way and for the wrong reason should it still be legal and nonpunishable? We have to wake up and make this story a big one, to let the government know enough is enough. To my point view the police should have charged and prosecuted Zimmerman for his actions, but instead they looked the other way and proceeded to say that its the "STAND YOUR GROUND LAWS" that stopped them from charging him with murder. This is a sad case of justice not being served the right way and its ashamed that the government isn't working hard to convict him.
